Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, a Mexican-American sportscaster. She is currently working as a sportscaster at ESPN and is an anchor of SportsCenter as well as hosting SportsNation. Since 2016, Collins has joined ESPN. She is the child of TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is a bilingual since she was nine years old, a valuable ability that allowed her to secure her first job as a production assistant for Univision in Miami and provided her with the opportunity to work with the producers of National programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. When she was in St. Petersburg, she was recruited by the CBS station to work as the sports reporter. In 2009, she moved in Rio Grande Valley to work as a journalist at KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. Reports on her show covered immigration issues drugs, immigration, as well as other issues on both the Texas and Mexico border. Additionally, she worked as an anchor and Spanish reporter at the newscast at 5 p.m., an anchor and reporter of the newscast from 9 p.m. with a reporter and anchor in English and an anchor and reporter for the newscast of 9 p.m. in English, as well Spanish reporter from 10 p.m. She would also fill in on occasion as a weather and sports anchor. The anchor also worked in the same role as Primer Impacto on UniMas Network, and Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta Collins' parents are originally from Veracruz Mexico. She was born November 22, 1985 in Mexico City. She has an elder sister. In 1992, the family relocated to Miami after moving from Mexico into the US. Then, shortly afterward, her parents separated and in the year 1995, Fabio Fajardo was remarried. He died from kidney cancer in the year 2006. In June of 2006, she took one week with her sibling at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was employed at the time. Antonietta, a high-school senior with an idea of what she would like her life to be like, visited Mount Union University to see what she could get out of the college. In the end, she was a fan of the university and they were offering the kind of program she was searching for. Her high school graduation was in the spring of 2004 and enrolled into media school at the college. Her relationship lasted for a while with her instructor Mark Bergmann who was the supervisor at WRMU 91.1 FM, a station of which she was an affiliate. His passion for journalism and confidence in herself encouraged her. In turn, she was determined to achieve his standards and not fail him.
